Saving Montegu’s Harrier

Currently I am working on a Extremadura Government project consisting of saving of young Montegu´s Harrier in the nest.

The job is to detect nests they normally do in the fields of cereal. Since the date of harvest each year produces more advanced in the calendar, more and more nests destroyed and thus the young Montegu´s Harrier dead.

The advancement of harvest is mainly due to climate change and to new farming techniques, seeds genetically treated to accelerate its vital process.

The below photography is of young Montegu´s Harrier correspond to three young saved this year and moved to center bird recovery of the non-governmental organization AMUS.
